l think your empathy is why l can never forget the kindnesses you did for me,, and so many others …. that defines you in terms that God knows you and you Him, very well!!

I don’t know about you, but I have been clear, then confused, clear again, etc., etc. about who needs an RFC.
So, after seeing another volume of info on this from Angel Diaz, I wrote him a private email with my questions,
given my situation. He called me. I am now totally clear.

Who does that? This is the highest level of service that I have experienced in Mexico. I have dealt with expats
who represent companies here that I have done business with for nine years who are rude, wouldn’t know customer
service if it hit them in the head.

As someone who had a company with seven offices in the US training people on small business I know that when
a customer has a complaint you ask “what can I do that will work for you?” I had few problems in my businesses
because after all is said and done, people just want things to work and they don’t want to be pissy about it.

So a big shout out to Angel Diaz. It made my day! Everyone in business here should take a lesson from him!

Thank you Angel for this great explanation. Over the years I have heard about lands that were Ejidos and never really understood what made them so complicated. What was always told to me is they were lands owned by families and that the other members did not always want any of it sold off, versus the economic piece to it.

This is an update on our recent experience with Inmtec. I had asked for others’ experiences with them before we hired to complete an important task for us.

We had hired another local lawyer to assist us to update our Deed and Predial, to fix the address. (He had done our wills in the past, to our satisfacation.) We only have Lote and Manzana numbers on the deed for our house. A street address was assigned to our house a few years ago. (We live in a new development.) When we hired the lawyer we had relied on in the past to update our deed and Predial, he asked us for the deed. Then he sat on it for more than a year without giving us regular updates. We hired him to start this process during COVID. We understood that going into local government offices was not a great idea during COVID. But we could not understand the very lengthy delay during this last year, since COVID restrictions were lifted ages ago.

After repeatedly asking the lawyer – to whom we have paid a retainer – to attend to this task, out of frustration, we finally asked him to return our deed so we could try another approach.

Once I had our deed in hand, I set up an appointment at the local Inmtec office. We met with Betzabeth, a fairly young attorney, and explained our situation. She said she didn’t need the original deed, just a copy of some pages. She said it would take a few weeks to get our address corrected, with an addendum, and the Predial updated. Inmtec charged us $5000 pesos for this task. I didn’t bother their office for four weeks. When I sent them an e-mail they responded that, yes, they did have the updated form back from the local government office. I went into their office. They knew who I was and had the paperwork waiting for me. The entire process was professional, efficient and fast – compared to our prior experience.

This address issue had created ongoing problems for us, since the basis for one’s address is your deed, if you own a home. I am very pleased with the efficient service I received from Betzabeth and Zuzanna, at Inmtec. We feel the price was fair, given the many problems I had encountered when I tried to do this myself, and then the inability of the other attorney to do it for us in a timely manner.

I will not name the “other” attorney, as he did a good job on our wills and is well liked by others on this forum. My intent is mainly to provide positive feedback about our recent experience with Inmtec and the people who work in their Las Brisas office. We did not have any interaction with Angel Diaz.

Inmtec did my Advance Directive. But, Angel also patiently and thoroughly answered my many questions as to whether I had, in good order, all my legal, medical and financial matters to comply with the strict Mexican laws.
I paid a fair price for expert legal advice and my peace of mind.

I am a client of Inmtec, specifically, Angel Marin. He has been amazing to us. When you want something done and want it done correctly it does cost money, but in the long run, it has been very valuable to us.

We have had all of our end of life work done by this firm, and soon we will be utilizing their escrow services. Everything has been explained clearly to us, and we were always given a choice as to whether we want to proceed.

If you have ever been represented poorly, and we have before being represented by Inmtec then I think you need to give them a try. The first consultation is free, and I think that is more than generous.

I know of three different community. NGO‘s that they donate to quite generously. I could not be happier, nor could I feel safer.

We have their after life package and they’ve done our wills too. They are highly professional. They aren’t cheap but I trust them implicitly and know that they have dotted all the i’s and crossed all the t’s. We also have our car insurance through them. We personally know the CEO and you won’t find a more honest man. They also do a lot for charity.

This may sound like “overkill” but it is in all the agency’s, politicians, and civilians best interest to put an end to this once and for all.
We thank Angel for his community based spirit and hope to bring this long standing issue to an end.
